First Christian Church of Cameron has a long-standing history as a part of the Disciples of Christ—a denomination dedicated to unity, inclusivity, and wholeness in a fragmented world. Over the years, we have grown as a faith community, continually welcoming people from all walks of life to gather, worship, and support one another. With deep roots in Cameron, our church is more than just a place of worship. It’s a place of belonging where people of all ages come together in fellowship and service. We’re grateful for the generations who have shaped this church and look forward to carrying their legacy forward in faith.
Worship service starts at 10:30, where we gather for worship, reflection, and community. Led by Rev. Doug Richardson, each service offers inspiration and a welcoming space for all.

Pastor Doug and wife Andrea were welcomed back to Cameron First Christian in May of 2023. Pastor Doug was born and raised in nearby Southwestern Pennsylvania. He went to college and seminary in Virginia where he met his wife, Andrea, as an undergrad. They have three adult sons, Scott, Alex, and Caleb. Andrea is a registered nurse pursuing her Nurse Practitioner’s degree. In his spare time, you can find Pastor Doug at Civil War battlefields, used bookstores, or watching sporting events. Pastor Doug is glad to once again be back in Cameron serving this special community.
Larry serves as the church treasurer. He is also one of the A/V technicians who prepare the audio and video presentations for the service each week.
Jim has played the Piano at First Christian Church for more than 15 years. He accompanies guest vocalists on piano or guitar during our worship services. He is also one of the A/V technicians who prepare the audio and video presentations for the service each week.
